Tuesday evenings – September start

Relate Mid Thames and Bucks are a local counselling service looking to appoint a person for an evening receptionist role to cover Tuesday evenings.  This role could be an ideal position for a person who lives locally, who is possibly retired  or a local student currently in year 12 studying A-level’s.

The role requires working one evening a week between the hours of 5.30-9pm at 4 Marlow Rd Community Centre, Maidenhead.

Key duties include; being the first point of contact and welcoming visitors to the Relate reception area, being professional and confidential at all times, providing administrative support to counsellors and it is vital that the applicant can be flexible and able to cover team member evening shifts when required due to sickness or holiday cover.

Being a Relate Counsellor gives you the chance to have a positive impact on people’s lives and can be incredibly rewarding.

Our counsellors receive regular support and supervision throughout their training and practice.

Relate offers excellent opportunities for personal growth and development and offers further training for those who want to specialise in a particular form of counselling such as family counselling or sex therapy .

Prior to a placement interview, we would expect a copy of your current CV and a commitment to offer volunteer hours. Placement offers are dependent on our capacity and your flexibility to work with adult clients in the evening or Saturday mornings and in venues across the two counties.

Volunteer as a Relate MTB Trustee

Relate Mid Thames and Buckinghamshire (MTB) is a small, local charity providing professional relationship counselling to local people, regardless of their ability to pay. We are here for people of all ages and backgrounds, we work to reach out and extend our services beyond the barriers that many people may face.

Relate MTB serves East Berkshire and Buckinghamshire (excluding Milton Keynes) with counselling rooms in High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Chesham, Maidenhead, Windsor and Princes Risborough. In 2017-18 we delivered counselling to 1,889 local people.
